Short-Term Career Objectives
In the near term, my focus is on strengthening my leadership track and building depth in business operations, customer experience, and analytics. In my current role as a Service Manager at Scheels, I’m building real-world management experience in a fast-paced environment where quality, timelines, and customer trust matter every day. Alongside that, I’m continuing to develop my professional brand through this website, using it as a portfolio of my work, my thinking, and the way I approach problems. I’m intentionally positioning myself for roles where I can lead teams, improve processes, and make decisions backed by data, whether that is in operations, project coordination, product support, or analyst-style work in industries connected to the outdoors, service operations, or transportation and emerging technology.
Long-Term Professional Vision
Long-term, my vision is to grow into a leadership path that blends business strategy with practical execution, and to eventually build toward Working in the transportation R&D Industry. I define success as having the ability to lead meaningful work, support people well, and create something sustainable that reflects my standards. Over time, that could take different forms depending on the opportunity, including leading operations for a growing organization, moving into product or program management, consulting on process improvement and customer experience, or helping a business that serves a community I care about. The consistent theme is impact, reliability, and leadership that produces results.
Alignment With My Skills, Experience, and Credentials
My goals align with what I’ve already built through work and school. Professionally, I’ve developed strong systems thinking, coordination, and stakeholder communication through roles that required organizing complex moving pieces, meeting deadlines, and keeping quality high. I’m comfortable working with data and using tools like Excel to turn information into decisions, and I’m equally comfortable in hands-on environments where execution and customer trust are the priority. My background in the outdoors, mountain biking, and service work keeps me grounded in real user needs, and it reinforces my interest in building solutions that are practical, efficient, and people-centered.

The Role of the MBA
My MBA is a key part of how I’m preparing for the next step. The coursework and projects are sharpening how I evaluate decisions across finance, marketing, operations, and strategy, and they’re strengthening my ability to communicate recommendations clearly. I’m using what I learn to improve how I plan, prioritize, and lead, especially in situations where the best answer is not obvious and tradeoffs are real. The MBA is also helping me translate experience into a stronger professional narrative, one that shows I can operate at a higher level, align teams around goals, and bring structure to complex problems. Ultimately, it increases my readiness to move into larger leadership opportunities now, while also building the foundation for long-term growth and future business ownership.
